She was involved. She was outgoing. She loved life and seized every opportunity to make our world a better place.
We were blessed with the life of Sarah Madeline Pound for just sixteen years. Her short life was wonderful, but her ability to touch so many lives will inspire us forever.
She was the girl next door, a committed student, a Hardaway Cheerleader, Young Life member, a mentor who had dreams of becoming a teacher. Sarah was not afraid to take a chance.
Because of Sarah’s commitment to family, loyalty to friends and her dedicated faith, Hardaway High School is honored to name a new athletic facility in her name. It is with the unanimous approval of the Muscogee County School District School Board, that this privately funded project is under way.
The Sarah Madeline Pound Athletic Facility will be an 8,400 square foot building that will house a cheerleading facility, wrestling arena, weight room and much needed classrooms for instruction. In essence it will be the home for Hardaway High School students involved in these and other sports.
In order to achieve our goal of improving the quality of the educational and athletic programs provided at Hardaway, we need your help. The current athletic facilities at Hardaway are no longer adequate to meet the growing needs of our students and athletes. We are counting on strong support from the students and their families, Hardaway High School Alumni as well as the community at large to bring the dream of this new facility and tribute to Sarah’s life to reality.
Consider the benefits and opportunities this facility will provide to the many students and athletes that will pass through the halls at Hardaway with hopes and dreams of their own. Please help us reach our goal by making a donation to this historic and meaningful project.
